Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information EnvyGroup, LLC ("we," "us") collects when you use TouchScanner (the website at touch-scanner.com, the Android application, and related services), how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. Plain language. No tricks.

1. Information we collect

When you join the Tester Program (via our signup form at touch-scanner.com), we collect:

• Your name or call sign
• Your email address
• The Uniden scanner model(s) you own (SDS200 / SDS100 / SDS150 / BCD536HP / BCD436HP)
• Your preferred build-delivery channel (Google Play closed track or direct APK link)
• Your electronic acceptance of the Tester Program Confidentiality Agreement (timestamp + the answer you selected)
• Optional free-text feedback about features or bugs you want addressed

When you visit touch-scanner.com, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard web access information: IP address, browser type, page paths visited, referring page. We don't run third-party trackers or advertising pixels. We don't use cookies for tracking.

When you email us at support@touch-scanner.com, we receive your email address, your message content, and any attachments. We retain support correspondence as necessary to provide ongoing support.

When you use the Android app, we may collect crash reports, build-version information, and basic device characteristics (Android version, scanner model connected) for reliability engineering. We do not collect: GPS coordinates beyond the app's on-device use for scanner integration, contact lists, photos, or any other personal content from your device.

2. How we use the information

• To send you the beta build via your selected delivery channel
• To send Tester Program communications (release notes, urgent bug-fix announcements, milestone updates) — never marketing
• To respond to support requests and bug reports
• To improve TouchScanner based on aggregated tester feedback
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with:

• SurveyMonkey (survey hosting) — your form responses are stored there in our account. SurveyMonkey privacy policy.
• Cloudflare (website hosting, CDN, DNS) — standard web access logs. Cloudflare privacy policy.
• Microsoft 365 (email infrastructure for support@touch-scanner.com) — emails you send us pass through Outlook. Microsoft privacy statement.
• Google Play Store (for closed-track build distribution) — if you select Google Play closed track as your delivery channel, your email is shared with Google Play so they can grant you access. Google privacy policy.
• Legal compliance — we may disclose information if compelled by court order or applicable law. We will give you prompt notice if legally permitted to do so.

4. Data retention

Tester Program data is retained for the duration of your participation plus two (2) years (matching the term of the Tester Program Confidentiality Agreement). After that period, we delete personal information except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes. Support correspondence is retained as long as necessary to address the matter discussed plus a reasonable archive period.

You may request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 6.

5. Data security

We use industry-standard technical safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS-encrypted transit (HTTPS), authenticated access to our SurveyMonkey and Microsoft 365 accounts, and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee against all possible attacks, but we promise to notify you promptly if a breach involving your data occurs.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct — ask us to update or correct information that is wrong
• Delete — request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent — leave the Tester Program at any time (we honor removal within 24 hours)
• Object / restrict — ask us to stop or limit a particular processing activity

To exercise any of these rights, email support@touch-scanner.com with the subject line "Privacy request." We respond within 30 days.

7. Children's privacy

TouchScanner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

8. International data

TouchScanner is operated from the United States. Survey response data is stored in SurveyMonkey's US data center. If you are accessing TouchScanner from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify Tester Program members by email and post a notice on the touch-scanner.com home page. The version date at the top of this document is the effective date.
